UPDATED – Judge William “Bill” Whitehill visiting to discuss the new Texas Business Courts

05 September 2024

EVENT UPDATE:

Many thanks to Judge William “Bill” Whitehill for an excellent presentation about the new Texas Business Courts.  Our firm was honored to welcome Judge Whitehill to our offices, and glad to host this public event.

We believe the Business Courts will prove to be a valuable asset to Texas in attracting more large companies to relocate to or organize in Texas as an efficient and business savvy court system presents itself.

As stated by one of our Shareholders, JD Reed: “Ultimately, these future Business Courts will lead to more efficient resolutions of complex business litigation, clearer rulings on complex business issues, more homogeneous application of said law, and hopefully more favorable rulings for clients.”

(Original article) –

We are honored to announce Judge William “Bill” Whitehill will visit our offices on September 25th to discuss the new Texas Business Courts.

Judge Whitehill previously sat on the Texas Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas. He was appointed by Governor Abbot to serve on the First Business Court Division, Dallas, along with Judge Andrea Bouressa.

These are newly created courts (Judge Whitehill’s initial 2 year term began September 1, 2024), so we are all trying to learn as much as we can about the workings of these new courts.

Please plan to join us at noon on the 25th to welcome Judge Whitehill. The event is a “lunch and learn” with lunch provided.

This event is open to the public, but space in limited so an RSVP is required. If you would like to attend this special event, please let us know via the form below.
