Ron Holmes (third from right) served on the developer expert panel at the 2013 Bisnow DFW Retail Summit. This is the fourth year for the Retail Summit, which has become an excellent forum to learn the latest trends, opportunities and challenges in retail development, ownership and leasing in the North Texas Area.
Panel discussion at the Retail Summit focused on emerging trends, such as urban projects replacing greenfield projects, lifestyle centers replacing big box power centers, and mixed-use replacing traditional retail. Also discussed was the various impacts of rising construction costs on both ground up development and redevelopment in mature markets, as well as capital markets.
If there was an overriding theme to the Retail Real Estate Summit, it was that retail real estate is undergoing dramatic changes. Holmes Firm PC keeps abreast of these changes and the associated legal implications for retail developers, owners and investors. From land acquisition to lease-up, Holmes Firm PC brings experience and expert knowledge to their clients’ retail development projects.
